FGX International Holdings designs and markets Foster Grant sunglasses. And on October 25, they started trading on the NASDAQ. Soon after, people in Times Square saw one of our spots, big and bad, on the NASDAQ building. Check it out:
Makin' news The leading public relations industry publication, PR Week recently highlighted our work on the U.S. launch of Quinny strollers for longtime client, Dorel Juvenile Group. We couldn’t have said it better when PR Week proclaimed, “This campaign clearly demonstrates the impact smart PR can have on sales and brand development.” Click here to read how our team took a stroller brand unknown to most American moms and made it a must-have.
Winnin' clients. While you can't necessarily tell by the way half the creative department dresses, we do understand fashion. And our work for Swarovski, Foster Grant and others recently helped us land our newest client, Touchstone Crystal, a create-your-own jewelry company whose products feature the finest Swarovski crystal beads and pearls. Together, we're developing a comprehensive PR campaign to elevate the brand and generate interest in both product and consultant opportunities. Part of our recent brand-planning included a "beading party" for our female members of the crew, where we learned that we have some natural-born beaders among us. Strange, but true.
This is a real big one. For us, and maybe the world. See, just about everything you do, every day, depends on the Internet. And if that thing goes down, you just try to run your business, or withdraw $20 from checking, or get Amadeus from Netflix. But we’ve got your back. Thanks to a recent Pile & Company pitch, D&S, Kaspersky Lab and an international community of smart, tireless, vigilant virus hunters are teaming up to protect us all from spyware, crimeware, hackers, phishing and spam.

Melissa Chase started with Duffy & Shanley as an intern and, after graduation, forced us to hire her. In a very short time, she’s proved her passion with some darn impressive strategic thinking, and in her new role as Assistant Media Buyer she’ll be working with Roger Williams University, Anthony & Sylvan and other agency clients. In her ongoing role as resident coolest-person, however, she will continue her duties planning holiday parties and random happy hours.
Despite rumored webbed-toes, Shawna Hassett has been promoted from Associate Account Executive to PR Account Executive, thanks to her outstanding work with clients from Cox Communications to Foster Grant to Touchstone Crystal. She was also recently elected to the board of directors of the Public Relations Society of America’s Southern New England chapter, and will serve as 2008 captain of the D&S swim team.
And thanks to her killer work on Anthony & Sylvan, Gaga's and Planned Parenthood, Ania Woishek, has been promoted from Freelance-Designer-Whose-Name-Some-Of-Us-Were-Never-Quite-Sure-Of to full-time, full-fledged Designer. In a previous life, she served as Visual Communication Manager at RXinsider LTD. Do send Ania your best. Do not ask her to say, "blueberry pancakes." Thank you.
