Day-to-day project management, taking an active and consistent role in strategy development and execution and responsive client service.
Facilitating and coordinating various project elements; prioritize and manage high volume of detail work.
Assist with content creation for various external audiences, including media and stakeholders. Content may include press releases, media pitches, op-eds, etc.
Social content development and execution. Manage daily social-content calendars and digital campaigns, and track monthly metrics.
Developing relationships with both internal and external clients to accommodate and better anticipate their needs; responding to their needs in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist in event planning for press, political and community events.
Assist with the development and execution of proactive media engagements and campaigns. Constantly dig for potential news angles and data to support opportunistic storytelling and uncovering media opportunities.
Providing daily support for a busy team of Public Affairs professionals in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-3 years of public affairs, public relations, media relations, advocacy/political campaigns, or related experience.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Knowledge of Northeast business, political and media landscapes. Media relations experience preferred.
Press and/or political event-planning experience.
Digital native with experience in social content development, execution and tracking.
Experience in research and PR tools for tracking coverage, social, etc.
Previous agency and/or client service experience preferred.
Resourceful, detail-oriented and scrappy.
Confident self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based structure.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
Travel may be required.
